Raine would like to thank everyone of you who gave financial support on her little angel’s surgery. I have announced here last month about this kid’s condition and the mother’s need for financial support.

The operation is set on August 28 at the Philippine Heart Center. My dear readers, be on your knees as the kid and the whole family prepares for the surgery. Pray for the success of this life-saving event.

Raine and Maree, we’re just behind you. Be strong and courageous, for the Lord your God is with you. Be still and know He is God! We’re praying for you.

And speaking of prayer, let us also pray for our kababayans in some part of Mindanao. Pray for peace among different tribal groups there.

A status message on Yahoo! messenger caught my attention the other day. A former colleague was asking for help for her little girl. This cute little angel named Maree has Atrial septal defect (ASD), often referred to as a “hole”, is a congenital heart disease where the wall that separates the left and right sides of the heart had an incomplete closure. The “hole” in the heart continues to grow and the only way to close it is through surgery. The longer the “hole” remains open, the higher the risk of getting further complications and may lead to irreversible damages that even surgery can’t correct.
